My textile works span a wide range of techniques -
- Batik, where wax is painted onto fabric, which is then dyed. Further wax is applied and further dye applied until a design is built up.
- Rug-making, which may be woven on a loom or worked on canvas using a latch hook.
- Felting, created by agitating pure wool fibres with either water and soap or using a barbed felting needle.
- Fabric collage, a wide variety of textures can be achieved by stitching different materials onto fabric, including thin metals and found objects.
- Embroidery
This gallery shows a representative selection of these techniques.
